Blithe Spirit DVD [2021]

Struggling with catastrophic writer’s block and a stressful deadline for his first screenplay, best-selling crime novelist Charles (Dan Stevens) finds himself in a difficult situation. His picture perfect second wife Ruth (Isla Fisher) is trying her best to keep him focused on meeting the deadline while also hoping to fulfill her dream of heading to Hollywood.

Desperate for inspiration, Charles decides to invite Madame Arcati (Judi Dench), a recently exposed medium fraud, to perform a séance in their home. Little did they know, their simple request would lead to unexpected consequences.

During the séance, Arcati accidentally summons the spirit of Charles' deceased first wife, the fiery and jealous Elvira (Leslie Mann). Elvira is determined to kill Charles so that they can spend eternity together, creating an increasingly comical and deadly love triangle. As tensions rise and the situation becomes more perilous, the characters find themselves in a humorous but dangerous predicament.
